DARESBURY, Cheshire (December, 2010) - Quizible, the popular picture based quiz site has gone mobile with the launch of an app for iPhone and iPod touch users.
Remember those Excel spreadsheet quizzes that used to do the rounds as office email attachments before there was such thing as a social network? Quizible brought those instant answer picture quizzes online in December 2008 in which time over 600 quizzes have been created and played by over 5 million people.
In January & February 2009 we received over half a million pageviews (not bad for our first quarter of traffic!) The movie scene quiz was particularly popular recieving over 200,000 pageviews itself. Traffic came from a range of sources including stumbleupon, and variousotherblogs
In the first few months of being online we now have over 10,000 registered users (11,335 to be exact) which isn't bad considering we don't force users to register! Facebook has proved the biggest 3rd party auth provider, and there is additional facebook functionality coming so watch this space
We got some really positive feedback from this and some great traffic, interestingly a lot of techcrunch traffic didn't actually come from techcrunch.com but from RSS readers (Techcrunch show full articles in their RSS feeds)
